literally fucking broken. it doesn't even work. how did this get past the portal?

EH MITT ROMNEY ISNT RELEVANT ANYMORE HOW ABOUT JOE BIDEN IT WONT BE AN ASS SHAVING GAME THO

an interesting take on a 2d stealth heist kind of thing. controls are alright, interesting mechanics. however the downside is that the player can just use an autoclicker to steal everything, imo it'd be better to make them input a random string of keys and that'd be good. ui needs a bit of improvement but it's nothing critical. 4/5

Thank you for the feedback!

A few people suggested using a key instead of the mouse to steal things, that way I could add controller support. If I did that, would people be able to use something similar to an autoclicker to steal things?

INTRODUCTION

Candy Monster is a simple game where you slide pieces of food to make lines and feed it to a monster.

Scripting

I would expect to see mistakes in any Newgrounds game, if ir was a crash, a way to chanhe the value of a certain counter, or anything upon the lines of that.

I was pleased to see that there was only a single bug here, which is how 2 pieces of candy can intersect and become siamese twins, somehow.

The link is https://postimg.org/image/ty8vr03sb/ if you want to get a picutre of what's happening for yourself.

Overall, I'll rate the scripting at a 6/10. It wasn't that shocking to what it could do, but it could surely do it fairly well.

-------

Gameplay

The gameplay is really simple in my eyes, as I've seen a gaming company called King milk the f*** out of this one type of game. The main one being Candy Crush, a smash hit in the App Store.

As I've seen apps like this take over the gaming market every single day, It's really dried out. And I mean by a LOT.

You could even include power ups, if you like, or maybe put a twist on it where if you have enough of a certain food, you can temporarily get a sweet tooth and gain a higher score from eating.

What's even worse is that I didn't even have to swipe any food on Level 2 for some reason.

Gameplay gets a 3/10.

Graphic Design

I've been saving the juiciest topic of this game for the last, as it was really interesting.

Anyways, let's cut to the chase.

As you can see, the graphical art may look really appealing at first, but it's stolen.

I personally think the candy and whatnot is clip art, so I'll let that slide.

But the monsters are plagiarized from another Flash game I've played before called Feed Me More

If you need a reference search it up on Kizi or click the link next to this sentence. http://kizi.com/games/feed-me-more

ORRRR someone SOLD the monster clip art as theirs, and the developer didn't know about that other game.

ORRRR both games got the same clip art that wasn't actually made by the 2 developers (although this is highly unlikely because of how the clip art on feed me more usually matches really well).

I'll be letting the developer off the hook and this aspect of the game as neutral for now because he obviously can't respond while I'm typing this.

And because I said it should be neutral, 5/10 on graphical art for

After adding up the ratings for the categories, I eventually got the number 4/10, which is the same as 2/5, so I'll leage my rating here.

2 stars.

I love this kind of game.

Those kinds of games that give a big twist to something we all know.
You can just deliver so much with it, and this was a great example of how to create something like that.

4/5.

PROS:

Great pixel art and great gameplay.

CONS:

The controls are f**cking hideous. I understand that you need to hit walls to stop but you'll end up thumping into walls 2/3 times when ou only hit one wall.

3.5/5.
